Broken Families break Society

Broken families lead to broken societies, distant communities, and empty neighborhoods.

My brother and I puzzled a lot. We had one puzzle where, in the end, one piece was missing.

We puzzled many landscapes to hang them up as pictures on the wall.

Once you found the missing piece, no matter how often you looked at the picture, you always noticed this missing piece.

There was an empty space.

When I think of broken families, I think of this incomplete puzzle.

It has almost all parts to be a beautiful landscape, but there is one piece missing.

This piece resembles the broken families.

They are the piece that’s open.

Healthy families can be the strong foundation to a thriving society.

What do we men, husbands, fathers, have to do with it?

We are responsible for the broken families.

It is our lack of leadership that breaks families.

We are tasked to lead our family.

So we should be there.

This is one of my favorite responsibilities, because most of the time, my family is my joy.

Yet there are hard times.

There are times when it is challenging, and I don’t have the answers going forward.

It is still important that I step up and lead.

It is my reaction that can keep my family whole or break them.

It is my decision to stay and fix it or to leave.

Let’s make our families strong – even when it’s hard sometimes!

You got this, brother!

Your Jowi

I’m fascinated by the pursuit of purpose. I have been trying to find my purpose for years. I spent hours journaling. Trying to figure out what I should do. I have felt all hyped up and sprint forward — only to feel all lost again a few months down the road. There seems to be a cultural obsession to finding your purpose, your big mission for your life. Yet in reality, it feels like a wild goose chase. The more you feel like you have found your purpose — the more it seems to slip away. The more…

Reflections on my 29th Birthday 10 years ago I made a decision. The decision was to study forestry. At the time I thought it would be the best way for me to lay the foundation for my future family. Reflecting back on that, it has been an amazing 10 years – totally not what I expected though. The biggest joy of those years has definitely been that I could marry my beautiful wife. Second to that is the birth of our son. This makes me now responsible for my family. I could also learn a lot about…

There was always a slight shift.A game started as free-to-play.Over time, they started introducing more and more extrasthat you would need to pay for. These perks were something like a cheat code. You could speed through the game. The upgrades were making…

  • Make Your Business a Habit

I used to rearrange my to-do lists at least once a week. The issue was that I kept planning my perfect week. I kept making elaborate plans. This is what productivity has taught me: I need to plan for efficiency. But the truth is even more simple than that: Make building your business a habit. I write this today as I have just reached a pretty big milestone. I have published 100 newslettersconsistently. What was overwhelming in the beginning now feels like a normal thing to do. Gain Agency of your Life When we talk about starting a business, there is often the question of why should you bother. There is so much work that is required to make a business work. Often it is said to have more time and the most often reason is to make more money. But there is one big reason that I’m willing to work more for – and it’s Agency. You can’t become the best leader of your family if you need to ask for somebody else’s permission to act. If you need to take time off for your…
