Build the bridge, not just the offer

You don’t sell a product, you’re not creating an offer or doing a service — you’re helping someone transform their lives.

They have a problem or pain, and they wish to make a change.
Anything we do is there to help them build a bridge.

It is the Bridge of Transformation.

So whenever we think of something to do or build, we should first understand the Transformation:

  • Where are they coming from?
  • Where are they going?

Then we get a deeper understanding of the different options we can build.
In the end, it all comes down to speed and chance of completing the Transformation.

The bridge can be a service, course, or ebook.
You need to understand though that the ebook is not competing just with other books, but with other bridges as well.

The ebooks, services, and courses are all forming bridges for the same transformation.

So in essence, they are all just different solutions.

You might be surprised that your ebook might not sell as much.
It’s because there might be a video course from someone else that helps faster and with a higher chance for the same price.

So whether you call yourself a writer, coach, or freelancer — it doesn’t matter.

It is about the transformation first over the actual way of helping.

This is a thought that took me a while to learn.
This is of huge importance, because it might mean that your products aren’t bad — they just don’t fit the transformation people were looking for.

  • Followers Aren’t Created Equal

I see this so often in the last years:Creators come up. Think all they need to do to make money and drive a brand is to build a big following online. There is the idea that any following is going to make you rich. Your following just needs to be big enough. But the reality is that followers aren’t created equal. I would trade 1,000 followers on Instagram for 1,000 subscribers on YouTube any day. I’d also rather have 1,000 subscribers to my newsletter than 1 million TikTok followers. This is…

As a result, I have the tendency to lean into the hustle. It’s an urge I need to fight actively. Sometimes it’s faster to slow down. Analyze. Observe. Think. Plan. Then take a step forward that actually makes a difference. The real power is to do only things that matter.Ignore tasks that just run…

  • Business is Boring!

Hey Reader, In so many videos I’ve watched over the years, there is often the idea that business is so exciting. There is always something new happening. There is always change. You’re in a high-speed car chase. While I definitely get that—especially when you’re starting out—you always want to be overwhelmed. The reality is that business is boring. There is not much happening once you find a routine that works. The main goal is to stick to that routine as long as you can. I do like to be by…

  • Gain Agency of your Life

Gain Agency of your Life When we talk about starting a business, there is often the question of why should you bother. There is so much work that is required to make a business work. Often it is said to have more time and the most often reason is to make more money. But there is one big reason that I’m willing to work more for – and it’s Agency. You can’t become the best leader of your family if you need to ask for somebody else’s permission to act. If you need to take time off for your…
