Do you know if you have tomorrow?

Hey Reader,

Whenever we make a plan, we think of tomorrow.
Do you actually know if you have a tomorrow?

I have done a lot of thinking on that the last few years.

Almost three years ago I lost my mom to cancer.
She didn’t get to 55 years of age.

We all hear the numbers.
The average lifespan is 80 years.
But that’s the world’s average.

My mom also thought it would be fine.
That she had time.
Until she didn’t.

I was there with her.
In those days when she became ready to leave here to go to a much better place.

It’s still a bit of a puzzle to me.
I believe that God is preparing people right in time to be ready.

We all fall into the trap of thinking that we have a someday.

It is a comforting idea that we have much of life left.

It’s prideful to expect that you will have another day.

You can’t plan with certainty for tomorrow.

You need to be more urgent using today.
Since tomorrow is not under your control.

I’m not saying to live today like your last or to go out and only have fun.

I’m saying: take ownership over your time.

Don’t waste the time you have today.

Every day you waste is one day you will never get back.

If you want to build a better future for your family, take action today.
Don’t wait for a better day.

Make sure you know what’s important today.

Don’t expect that you will do it someday.

When you know the ability to start today,
realize that you don’t have time for everything, but everything worthwhile is worth making time for.

Use your Today! Take Action!

It feels nerve-wracking.Separated from reality. In reality, most entrepreneurs overprice or undercharge. Both of them don’t get you any…

  • The One Thing AI Can’t Replace

We all live now in the age of AI. The way I see it—it’s only the beginning. There are so many ways this can go. The one question I keep wondering about is:How do I set myself apart from AI? How can I still be unique? While I’m not sure there is only one thing to do— I believe the answer is this: Being present. Being present means to be in a room together with full attention. You put your phone down this time. AI can replace many tasks, but it can never replace real human interaction. Yes, it…

  • The Myth of the Perfect Idea

Hey Reader, When I was starting out, I thought business success was in finding the perfect idea. I was working so long on finding ideas, I was so protective over my ideas that I didn’t even share them with others. This is one of the biggest rookie mistakes I see today. It took me years to see that my ideas weren’t going to work out the way I had planned. Then I took a step back, analyzed the situation, and came up with a new idea. This time, I took the idea and shared it. I was not trying to…

  • Stick to the basics

Hey Reader, Often I feel like I could skip ahead. Like I know what it’s about and then I fast forward. This newsletter today is an important reminder for myself as well. When my son was a bit younger, like last year, he was trying to walk. He was practicing one step at a time. Now, when we’re going to the park, he loves to run around. There are situations where he is less comfortable. So he slows down. He takes it one step at a time. Obviously, it doesn’t always work. He falls down and gets…

  • Share the Scars, Not the Wounds

When we often talk about authenticity, we often have different understandings of what that actually means. Over the last year, I have seen a trend come up. The trend has me worried. Authenticity is understood as showing all your emotion, being real in the moment. This does not build trust. It does not show a good manner. Every day has its ups and downs. Yet we don’t need to start with or share all that. There is another way to show your authenticity —that actually creates more trust and is…
