Don’t play business

Hey Reader,

There is a big misconception about a Personal Brand and creating content.

Most Personal Brands don’t make any money.

They are just creating noise.

Let me tell you a little story:

My son recently started to “play dress-up.”
He puts on my boots and gets a loud voice.
Then he walks around the house pretending to be Papa.

He has a blast and we all enjoy watching him.
He looks pretty cute.

I see a similar pattern in most Personal Brands.

They play pretend business.
They see the big guys on social media and decide to post.

Then they say “I’m building a Personal Brand.”
They only repeat the ideas from the experts.

It’s like playing dress-up.
In the end, they all do the same thing.

They are lookalikes to the actual business owners.

It’s amusing and sometimes a little sad to watch.

When they then write Cold DMs, it’s starting to get hard to watch.

I know how it feels not to be taken seriously.
I’ve started many years ago on YouTube.
Trying to build a business.

I was getting views, but no business.
I was playing business instead of building a business.

It all changed when I started to make an offer that actually helped people.

Then I had something to talk about.

When you’re still just posting on social media without a clear offer—people “offer to help” via email or to have a chat with me.

We will work together to build your business.
So that you set yourself apart.

You can make a difference!

Your Jowi

  • Fix your strategy to gain clarity

I have talked with more than 20 men in my coaching by now. They all dream to grow a business. Yet they all get stuck. They are motivated, they have their reason and are excited to start. Yet they lack the strategy. They want clients. Yet have no offer, no leads, and no conversion. In the end, they are frustrated, confused, and overwhelmed. I know how that feels. I have been there too. It sucks. When we’re in the coaching sessions, I come to bring the strategy to build an offer, get leads, and…

  • What if it doesn’t work?

How often have you second-guessed yourself? I still do it almost daily. It’s hard sometimes. I’m trying, and I pour it all in. There is still a part of my brain saying:What if it doesn’t work? What if I’m just making a fool out of myself? There are so many little feelings of doubt. The one thing I tell myself — and it’s definitely going to come true — is the truth: When nothing gets done, you will also not get any reward. When the question of what if it doesn’t work? paralyzes me —then it will…

  • Don’t Build a Business That Pays $1.50/hr

There is something that bugs me a lot… It’s a new trend that steals fathers away from their families. It’s the lifestyle side hustle. I’m all about building a business to provide for your family. But to me, it’s more than just delivering a pay-check. It’s about becoming a Present Provider. Yet, I observe so many fathers stepping into the world of business with a side hustle mentality. The goal is to make a little extra money on the side. The idea is often a little extra on cash by making some…

  • Why Your To-Do List Might Be Holding You Back

Our to-do list feels endless. There are so many things we could do. Some are more important than others. I recently listened to a podcast. They were chatting about this one guy being paid a lot to be an advisor. Yet he didn’t do much. He said that his job was not to add to the tasks in the business, but to make sure they didn’t do anything that hindered the business profits. I have also experienced the same thing. The real difference between success and failure is to do the right things and…

  • Do you know if you have tomorrow?

Hey Reader, Whenever we make a plan, we think of tomorrow.Do you actually know if you have a tomorrow? I have done a lot of thinking on that the last few years. Almost three years ago I lost my mom to cancer. She didn’t get to 55 years of age. We all hear the numbers. The average lifespan is 80 years. But that’s the world’s average. My mom also thought it would be fine. That she had time.Until she didn’t. I was there with her.In those days when she became ready to leave here to go to a much…

  • More knowledge is not the answer

I do like reading books. There is something about reading a book on the couch that is relaxing. It is a lot slower to read a book than to watch 10 YouTube videos in 2x speed. We live in an era of endless information. We can find an answer to every question in 1000 videos. Yet we keep looking for the golden shard to build our sensation. The one missing piece that will make the rest fall into place. I am also a knowledge junkie. I like to be informed before I take action. I have spent years…
