Facing the Moment of Decision

We all go through our life with struggles and hope.

Dreams and pains. We all make it through our days.

Then all of a sudden, something happens.

We need to make a decision.

It feels like our D-Day.

When my son was just 2 months old, I got fired.

I understood their decision.

I was not the right fit. So I went home.

With all that pressure on my back, my son was all happy to see me.

He slept so peacefully.

I was up at 2 am.

What am I going to do next?

I was absent, caught in my own thoughts.

I wasn’t proving either.

I had to make a decision.

I had started a side hustle.

Will this be the time to go all in?

Or should I find another job?

I believe that God puts us sometimes in positions of life where he tests whether we trust him or not.

I had to make a decision.

It was a scary time.

Not knowing what to do.

My wife and I spoke a lot about the next step.

Looking back from today, it’s easy.

Back then it was overwhelming.

I had to provide for my wife and my newborn son.

I had to put food on the table.

When you’re stuck in the similar scary place of needing to make a decision, I understand you.

I know where you’re coming from.

We made the decision to go all in.

It was a good decision.

I would be lying when I say it was smooth sailing afterward.

I do have to say it was blessed, and I wouldn’t be where I’m now.

We need to step up and make those hard decisions.

  • A side hustle won’t save you!

Hey Reader, When I look around, most men want to start a side hustle to get the business off the ground. I love the idea and motivation they have—to provide for their family and spend more time with them. There is only one flaw on that side:They plan for a side hustle, not for an exit strategy. The numbers tell the difference. Most people starting a side hustle are happy about any money they can make. They start to offer low-price digital products:A template for $20 or an ebook for $8. While…

  • Gain Agency of your Life

Gain Agency of your Life When we talk about starting a business, there is often the question of why should you bother. There is so much work that is required to make a business work. Often it is said to have more time and the most often reason is to make more money. But there is one big reason that I’m willing to work more for – and it’s Agency. You can’t become the best leader of your family if you need to ask for somebody else’s permission to act. If you need to take time off for your…

  • Be Relentless, Not Reckless

Starting a business is hard.It takes a lot to actually make it work.Building a business — like everything in life — has a price. I am all for doing a lot and being ambitious.Yet, I see a lot of founders/entrepreneurs being reckless. They break a lot of trust while they are not even getting started. There is a big difference between being relentless and being reckless: Reckless is uncontrolled and not directed. Relentless is about being controlled and knowing where you want to go. You can show…

  • A Morning Routine Won’t Save You

Hey Reader, Recently, a video went viral on TikTok.One Hustle Bro was showing off his morning routine.I’m not sure whether it was his actual morning routine (which I doubt) or if it was just staged. The full routine displayed in the video took him 5.5 hours.Five and a half hours. That’s just insane. You won’t get anything done by doing his morning routine. There has been so much chatter about the different morning routines.Yet nobody asks about the evening routines. To get a good start in the…

  • Focus on Strategy, Not Tactics

The other day I read another post that I thought was interesting. The guy said he ran a test: after 800 days of posting daily, he focused on quality over quantity, and then only posted 2 times per week. His point was that too many are only posting daily, but they should do better content. This was setting me riled up. It was a good example of doing what he did, not doing what he said. He got to the many views by posting daily. So that’s the strategy: Post daily. It will give you data, skill,…
