Facing the Moment of Decision

We all go through our life with struggles and hope. Dreams and pains. We all make it through our days. Then all of a sudden, something happens. We need to make a decision. It feels like our D-Day. When my son was just 2 months old, I got fired. I understood their decision. I was not the right fit. So I went home. With all that pressure on my back, my son was all happy to see me. He slept so peacefully. I was up at 2 am. What am I going to do next? I was absent, caught in my own thoughts. I wasn’t proving either. I had to make a decision. I had started a side hustle. Will this be the time to go all in? Or should I find another job? I believe that God puts us sometimes in positions of life where he tests whether we trust him or not. I had to make a decision. It was a scary time. Not knowing what to do. My wife and I spoke a lot about the next step. Looking back from today, it’s easy. Back then it was overwhelming. I had to provide for my wife and my newborn son. I had to put food on the table. When you’re stuck in the similar scary place of needing to make a decision, I understand you. I know where you’re coming from. We made the decision to go all in. It was a good decision. I would be lying when I say it was smooth sailing afterward. I do have to say it was blessed, and I wouldn’t be where I’m now. We need to step up and make those hard decisions. |
