Going Viral is Slowing You Down

Hey Reader,

I can’t hear it anymore.

Going viral has started to become a red flag for me.

Everybody is waiting to go viral.
Yet it’s not worth that much.

What happens when you go viral?

You become known for that one thing.
Most people that go viral only end up as one-hit wonders.

Going viral also means that you’ll be shown to many new people— people that won’t fit your dream clients.

You’ll have to deal with:

  • Many less comments
  • More noise
  • People who just want to get your attention

If you’re not prepared for it, it can easily distract you from the situation you had in the first place.

Going viral is a vicious cycle of dopamine.
It feels good—and you want to do it again.

Often, going viral does not mean your business is going to grow.

Instead of trying to go viral:
Try to build deeper relationships with your people.

Do things that don’t scale for individuals.
Make sure to know your people and directly work towards them.

No matter what people say:
Going viral is not a strategy you can master.

There are certainly points to consider,
but even Mr. Beast can’t guarantee it.

He knows what makes a good YouTube video—
but it doesn’t mean his videos will always keep performing better.

It is also so much more rewarding to have a loyal group you actually get to know
than to respond to a wave of comments you can’t keep up with.

Build for the legacy, not for the trial of fame.

Keep chopping Wood!

Your Jowi

The creator economy is bound to grow the next few years. A lot of people want to get onboard. The sad part is that I see a lot of repeated content. Something really copy-and-paste content. Taken from top creators. Now with AI added to the mix, there is also plenty of AI content out there. So people post every day, yet seem to not get it right. They are consistent— but not seeing any progress. I got a message the other day saying that my content “feels so different and unique.” Most people…

  • 30 before 30

30 before 30 Now that I’m 29 years old – I’m wondering what do I want to do with my next year? What do I want to do before I turn 30? As I have been working on my business to become the Present Provider for my family – I have noticed a trend. Most people set an income goal. So have I in the last years. Now that I have a few years on my back – I realize it is better to focus on Impact. Impact over Income. It is not how much I can get out – it is how much I can give. My goal is to reach 30K…

  • We do it the 100X Way

We do it the 100X Way How many struggle with Perfectionism? I always thought things must be done to 100% completion, yet I seemed to fail every time. The question became: How should we do things? We should do it the 100X Way. Let me explain: First, you have to put as many seeds (ideas, content, etc.) out into the world. This is focused on Quantity. Once the seeds are out – you are in charge to water them and take care of them. This is giving without asking. Just be helpful. None of it has to…

  • Should you be authentic?

Hey Reader, No matter where I look right now, people tell me to be more authentic. Is that really helpful though? I don’t think so. Let me explain why. Being authentic could mean that you’re relatable and personal. It is to be honest. This is what I would understand as being authentic. There is also a different meaning to it. Not many people would describe it as such, but you can observe the behaviors. In reality, a person says “I’m authentic” when they give their unfiltered opinion. Being…
