Success comes through Sacrifice

Hey Reader,

Everything in life comes with a price tag.

Not always do they have a $ (Dollar Sign) with them.
Some are also connected to the cost of time.
Some are decisions, either for or against.

You can do many things, but you won’t be able to succeed in all.

You do have many opportunities, but not the time to try them all.

There is a correlation that I started to notice.
The older I get, the more obvious it becomes.

Every big victory comes with a price.

There is no success without sacrifice.
Your level of success is equal to the level of sacrifice.

When you’re starting a business, it’s not only about the potential of that business.

It’s also about the level of sacrifice required to make it.

The other way I think about it:
not only doing it for the money.

If you’re only doing it for the money, you won’t be able to take the sacrifice that comes with it.

The interesting question becomes:
What are you willing to sacrifice to reach your goal?
What price are you willing to pay?

If the price is too high—you won’t make it to your goal.

I don’t need to become a billionaire because the price often is to sacrifice your family.
I’m not willing to sacrifice my family.

That price is too high.

Knowing what I’m willing to give is important to know what my options really are.

There are many decisions that are hard to make.
Once you know how much you’re willing to sacrifice,
then you also know what decisions you can make.

Keep building!

Your Jowi

  • Declare War on the Hustle

I have to admit something.I love my business and I really enjoy building businesses. That might not be that surprising. The surprising side is that I’m proud of how much I work. 50 hours a week is a good baseline. (I’m actively not counting all things because the shadow schedule is a lot bigger.) I started my business to build for my family, not to run from them. Now I have a business that hides me from my family. When I’m not working, I feel bad about not getting more done. So I get back to…

  • Impact over Income

Impact over Income I see it so often online – People are always looking to make money fast. The focus is to get rich. The longer I’m building my business – It’s been 7 years now – the more I enjoy the art of business. The Art of Business is to understand that Impact is bigger than Income. Income is important, but it is the side effect of Impact. Every business should make our world better. The blacksmith made better tools that the farmer could take on the fields. There was always more impact…

  • Can You Compete with AI?

Hey Reader, It feels like there is a threat in the air. Now that ChatGPT is out for a few years already—and it’s constantly improving—it feels like we are in a competition we can’t win. I’ve been doing content marketing for almost 5 years. It definitely changed over the last year. There is a flood of content out there that is just generated by AI.It is getting easier to stay consistent. There is also a pattern I observe: I’m not trying to compete with AI.Since it’s a tool, I can use it well or…

Start your One-Dad Business For every business to be successful there are three parts that need to happen: You need to help one person. You need to offer them one solution. In essence: Every business needs to serve a purpose for our community. To get you started, we need to answer these three questions: Who do you want to help (One Person)? What Problem does…
