The Reality of YouTube and Why It’s More Than Just Money

I’ve been on YouTube for over three and a half years now, uploading more than 200 videos across different channels. But recently, something feels different. YouTube is changing, and not in a way that resonates with me. The platform has become a race where everyone tries to outdo each other with bigger claims and more outrageous promises.

The Shift in YouTube Culture

As I scroll through my feed, I see countless videos claiming to turn viewers into millionaires, or that making $10,000 a month is easy. I remember when the idea of starting a side hustle was about making a little extra money on the side, not about making a full-time income right away. Now, every side hustle is pitched as the next big thing that will change your life overnight. But that’s not my reality.

Maybe I haven’t figured it all out yet. Maybe I’m not smart enough or good enough. But I’ve been showing up for years, working day in and day out, and I’m still far from that million-dollar mark. What bothers me is that so few people talk about the daily grind, the struggles, and the reality that making $10,000 a month doesn’t happen in 90 days for most of us.

The Myth of Overnight Success

I’ve spent years getting good enough to actually earn money and help people. You don’t achieve that by posting your first video and hoping it blows up. Even when you see someone suddenly gain success, what you don’t see are the two or three channels they started before that didn’t make it. There’s a lot of practice and failure behind those success stories.

It’s easy to get caught up in the dream of making millions, but that’s not my focus. I don’t need a million dollars. My goal is simply to provide for my family. I don’t need a million subscribers, a viral video, or a private jet. What I need is enough to take care of those I love. Isn’t that what really matters?

The Real Value of Social Media

Social media has shifted so much from what it used to be. It was once about sharing your life, posting silly pictures, and connecting with friends. Now, it’s all polished and perfect, with everyone trying to sell the biggest dream they can think of. But that’s not what life is about. It’s about connection, story, and being real with each other.

I’m not here to sell you the dream of becoming a millionaire in 90 days. I’m here to talk about real things, things that matter. It may not be shiny, it may not get a lot of views, but it’s human. It’s about connection and sharing our stories.

Let’s Connect on What Really Matters

So, I want to hear from you. Share your dreams, your actions, and your story in the comments below. Let’s connect as people, not just as content creators and viewers. I may not be a big YouTuber with millions of subscribers, but I’m here to be real, to share my journey, and to connect with you. Because at the end of the day, it’s about people, not just chasing numbers.

If you want to understand more about why I believe business is about people, go ahead and watch my next video. Let’s keep this conversation going.
