There is Only One Shortcut to Success

I used to think shortcuts don’t actually exist.

I was wrong.

In online games, there are shortcuts. I was mostly playing free-to-play games.
They had however one specific element that free-to-play games live on:
a balance to pay-to-win games.

There was always a slight shift.
A game started as free-to-play.
Over time, they started introducing more and more extras
that you would need to pay for.

These perks were something like a cheat code.
You could speed through the game.
The upgrades were making certain actions faster.

Life is also on this scale — from free-to-play to pay-to-win.

As we progress on the charts of wealth, health, relationships, we level up and further unlock achievements and skills.

There are only two ways to make progress:

  1. Learn through your own failures.
  2. Learn from others’ failures.

These are the two options.
But you can mix them together.

For example:
Free YouTube videos are a great way to start.

But there is only one true shortcut through all of it:

It’s also pay-to-win.

You don’t just learn from others’ mistakes —
You pay them to guide you.

It’s not about one step or one roadmap.
You can get a direct safe passage to the next milestone.

Often, free stuff is framed to get you one step closer,
but there is no personal advice.
It stays pretty general.

Although I try to give you valuable insights and helpful steps,
I can’t give you specific advice to your personal situation when we don’t talk.

If you’re looking for real shortcuts,
I am looking for Guests on my Podcast to help them specifically. If you’d be interested to join me for a Podcast reply “Guest” to this email.

  • Strive for Effectiveness, not Efficiency

Hey Reader, One thing I’ve seen over the last few years in the productivity field is the hunt for efficiency. It is the idea that when you get things done faster—you will automatically get more done. Let’s take a trip down memory lane: The idea of efficiency stems from the industrial revolution. In factories, it mattered to get more done faster. Thus, the overall productivity rose. The machine could produce more products in less time. When I first got introduced to productivity, I fell in…

I have been part of the blogging community for a while, and it was scary to see the results of this change….

Hey Reader, Recently, a video went viral on TikTok.One Hustle Bro was showing off his morning routine.I’m not sure whether it was his actual morning routine (which I doubt) or if it was just staged. There has been so much chatter about the different morning routines.Yet nobody asks about the evening routines. To get a good start in the…
